About

Hello!

My name is Kasia. I am an herbalist and yoga instructor currently residing in South Florida. There are so many tools at our disposal to help us heal holistically, and it is my aim to give you both the science and tradition based information you need to stand fully in your agency when it comes to taking control of your health. Everyone is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all solution when determining what good health looks like. What could be healthy to one person, could be completely toxic to another. I hope through the education and resources that I offer here, that I encourage you to explore what good health feels like for you, so that you can live the most vibrant life possible.

Herbal Smoking Blends have a particularly special place in my heart. About a decade ago, I found myself smoking a pack of cigarettes a day. At the time I suffered from chronic bronchitis, swollen lymph nodes, and would get sick often. I knew that smoking was wreaking havoc on my health, but I couldn’t imagine quitting. Until a friend, who was also looking to kick their habit, introduced me to herbal smoking teas. I didn’t know about all of the different kinds of smokable herbs then, but the blends I’ve created here at the apothecary, are the blends I wish I would’ve had when I was quitting smoking a decade ago. I still enjoy the occasional smoke of an herbal smoking blend, but on my own terms. I hope you enjoy these herbal smoking blends as much as I do, regardless of why you smoke!

I started practicing yoga in 2013 while I was off at college in Chicago. I fell in love with several different styles of yoga, but eventually decided to commit to an Ashtanga yoga practice. I received my 200hr teaching certificate from 3B Yoga in 2017, and have been continuing to learn, and teaching ever since. In addition to Ashtanga, I teach Yin Yoga and Slow Flow Vinyasa. In my classes I am always encouraging my students to, “Find their flow, find their freedom.” I trust that my students know what is best for their bodies, and always encourage them to make the practice truly their own. I’ve worked with many different populations of people- including those who are working through injuries or are rehabilitating from surgery, and enjoy serving my students by offering many options and modifications in class so that they can get the most out of their time on the mat. I look forward to practicing with you!

About the Apothecary

Symphytum Apothecary was named after Symphytum Officinale, also known as Comfrey or “Knitbone”. While you won’t find any internal preparations of this plant here (due to toxic Pyrrolizidine Alkaloids), I continue to be inspired by the spirit of Comfrey. In all European languages this plant is named after it’s usage; to mend bones, and heal wounds. The word Symphytum is derived from the Greek “symphis” which means “to grow together”. It is my intention that like the name, we can grow together in community here as well.
